Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find the answers to the questions parents ask us most often. Can't find your answer? Feel free to contact us.
Age & baby
From what age can my baby ride in the stroller wagon?
From birth, as long as your baby is properly supported. In the 4-seater and 6-seater P-Series Luxe you use the cradle (maxi-cosi holder) for this: your baby can ride along from day one. From 2 months your baby can also sit in the baby seat, which you attach to a bench. Once your child can sit upright independently — usually around 6 months — they can sit directly on the bench, secured with the included 5-point harness. Not sure? Carry your baby in a carrier and place your older child in the wagon.
Can a baby of a few months old already ride along?
Yes. A baby that cannot yet sit independently needs support and therefore cannot sit loosely on the bench. In the 4-seater and 6-seater P-Series Luxe you use the cradle (maxi-cosi holder), which is suitable from birth. There is also the baby seat which you attach to a bench; your baby can ride in it from 2 months.
Until what size does my baby fit in the cradle?
There is no age limit: your baby's length determines when the cradle becomes too small. The cradle is 56 cm wide and your baby can also lie at an angle in it, meaning there is enough room for a long time in practice. When your child outgrows it, they move on to the bench with 5-point harness.
Does the baby seat also fit the 2-seater?
Yes. The baby seat is suitable from 2 months and attaches to a bench, so it also fits the 2-seater. Note the difference from the cradle (maxi-cosi holder): that only fits on the 4-seater and 6-seater P-Series Luxe.
How do I tilt the baby seat so my baby lies more flat?
The baby seat is suitable from 2 months and sits fairly upright. If you want your child to recline more, attach the bench only to the front clips — the bench then leans further back and your child lies much more comfortably. See the installation guide (PDF) and instruction video before attaching.
Baby seat or cradle — what do I choose for a newborn next to my older child?
For a newborn next to an older child, choose the cradle on a 4-seater (or 6-seater) P-Series Luxe: the cradle is suitable from birth, while your older child sits on the bench. The baby seat is the alternative from 2 months; it sits more upright, but you can tilt it more by only attaching the bench to the front clips.
How do I attach the baby seat? Is there an installation video?
Yes, there is an installation guide (PDF) and an instruction video. You attach the baby seat to the bench using the bench straps; you place your child in the seat using the included harness straps. Can't figure it out? Let us know and we'll help you along.
Can I hang the seat on the push bar so my child lies at the front?
Yes, that's what we recommend too. You hang a bench on the push bar (the handlebar) and create an extra spot at the front that sits at more of an angle — a great way to let a smaller child lie more flat, even without a baby seat. This gives you an extra (lying) spot on the 4-seater in effect.
How much weight can I hang on the push bar?
Keep a maximum of 30 kg on the push bar. That applies to a bench with a child, but also to a bag or shopping you hang from the handlebar. Stay under 30 kg and the wagon stays nicely balanced.
Can a child sleep in the stroller wagon, and is it safe for toddlers?
Yes, children doze off perfectly in the wagon, sheltered under the sun canopy. The frame is stable, every bench has a 5-point harness, there is a parking brake and the puncture-proof all-terrain wheels roll smoothly. Always buckle your child with the harness and keep weight within the maximums: 170 kg in total and 45 kg per bench.
Until what age or height can a child ride in the stroller wagon?
Until about 6 years or 120 cm — after that the seat height becomes tight. For weight, the wagon can carry 170 kg in total and 45 kg per bench, so in practice your child's height is more often the limit than the weight.
Which size should I choose
Is there much size difference between the 2-seater and 4-seater? Is the 2-seater more compact?
Yes, the 2-seater is clearly more compact and lighter. It’s narrower (46 cm frame compared to 63 cm for the 4-seater) and weighs 21 kg compared to 26 kg. When folded, the 2-seater measures 44×46×100 cm including wheels, compared to 50×63×105 cm for the 4-seater. When unfolded, both are the same length (90 cm). If you want maximum compactness for two children, choose the 2-seater; if you want room to grow or to bring along a baby with a bassinet, choose the 4-seater.
Which size should I choose with two children?
If both children are old enough to sit, the 2-seater P-Series Luxe is sufficient: two benches with 5-point harness, compact and light. If a baby joins the family, the 4-seater becomes much more practical. In the 2-seater you cannot attach a cradle, and placing a toddler opposite a bench with a baby seat is tricky — they end up with too little leg room together. In the 4-seater they can sit at an angle opposite each other and everyone has room. A lovely bonus: children around 2 years old often no longer want to sit in a pram, but feel like a real prince or princess in the stroller wagon.
Which stroller wagon suits a baby and a toddler?
For a baby and a toddler we recommend the 4-seater P-Series Luxe. The cradle (maxi-cosi holder) for the baby only fits on the 4-seater and 6-seater, while your toddler sits on a bench with 5-point harness. Both children have their own spot and the wagon grows with your family.
Do two maxi-cosis or twins fit in?
Yes. The 4-seater can accommodate two Maxi-Cosi car seats, and the 6-seater can accommodate three. We also have an XL carrycot available, in which two babies can lie side by side — ideal for twins.
Stroller wagon or buggy/pram — which is more convenient?
It depends on how you use it. A stroller wagon is to your advantage when you transport multiple children at once, take lots of things along, or are often on rough terrain (beach, forest, festival): children sit together and it is easy to load. A buggy is more compact for one child in the city. For family outings and adventurous days, parents often consciously choose the stroller wagon.
On the road, car & handling
Does the folded wagon fit in my car boot?
In most cars the folded wagon fits fine, especially with the wheels removed — these come off without tools. Folded, the 2-seater measures 44×46×100 cm including wheels (44×46×80 cm without wheels), the 4-seater 50×63×105 cm including wheels (50×63×80 cm without wheels) and the 6-seater 50×63×127 cm including wheels. Unsure about your specific boot? Visit an ambassador to try it in real life.
Does the wagon fit through a standard door, hallway or lift?
Yes. With the wheels on, the 4-seater and 6-seater is 80 cm wide; that fits through most standard doorways, though with little room to spare. If a passage is really narrow, remove the wheels without tools: the frame is 63 cm wide (2-seater 46 cm).
Can the stroller wagon be taken on the plane as checked luggage?
In principle yes: folded and with wheels removed the wagon is compact enough for most airlines. Since each airline has its own rules, check the dimensions in advance. Folded including wheels: 2-seater 44×46×100 cm (21 kg), 4-seater 50×63×105 cm (26 kg), 6-seater 50×63×127 cm. Without wheels: 44×46×80 cm for the 2-seater and 50×63×80 cm for the 4-seater.
Are the wheels suitable for beach and forest? Do I need to pump them up?
The wagon has puncture-proof all-terrain wheels that roll smoothly over sand, forest paths, grass and pavement. Pumping is never needed and a flat tyre on the go cannot happen. Should a wheel get damaged, you can order replacement wheels from us by email.
Does the stroller wagon have a brake?
Yes, the wagon has a parking brake. This keeps the wagon safely in place, even on a slope — handy when getting in and out or during a break.
Can you both push and pull the wagon?
The 4-seater and 6-seater can do both. For the 4-seater you purchase the pull bar separately (€19); with this you pull the wagon comfortably behind you, for example through sand or along a forest path.
Do I need tools for assembly?
Barely any. The wagon arrives largely assembled: you only mount the push bar and the rear axle with wheels yourself. The bolts for the push bar are in the box and it is self-explanatory — with the included manual you are done in no time.
Accessories & maintenance
Which accessories are included as standard, and what can I order later?
Included as standard with every wagon are the sun canopy, benches and storage bags — no surprises afterwards. Later you can expand with, among other things, an extra bench (from €39), the baby seat (€59), the cradle or maxi-cosi holder (€39), a rain or winter cover (from €59), a pull bar (€19), a snack tray (€19), a shopping basket (€34), a ride-along board (€39) and an extra sun canopy (€19).
What is the difference between the winter cover and the rain cover?
The rain cover is mainly against (heavy) rain; the winter cover mainly against (strong) wind and cold. The rain cover holds off heavy rain well but is less strong against wind; the winter cover holds off strong wind well but is less strong against heavy rain. Both start from €59. If you mostly go out in wet weather, choose the rain cover; if it is mainly cold and windy, choose the winter cover.
How much protection does the sun canopy offer, and does the rain cover fit over it?
The sun canopy has a UPF 50 rating and therefore blocks virtually all UV radiation. You simply attach the rain cover over the sun canopy, so you don't have to disassemble anything in a shower.
Are the seats, upholstery and covers washable?
Yes. You clean the upholstery, benches and covers with lukewarm water and a little mild soap. Then let everything dry thoroughly before folding the wagon.
Can I order spare parts, and how do I report a defect?
All parts are available separately — from wheels to benches. Send us an email with what you need and we will send it out. If it concerns a defect covered by the warranty, email us with your proof of purchase and a photo; we will sort it out for you.
Ordering, delivery & returns
When will my wagon be delivered?
Order before 10 PM and we ship your wagon the same day, usually arriving the next day, free of charge in the Netherlands and Belgium. Honestly: lately we have been seeing delays at carriers a bit more often, so we cannot always guarantee next day delivery. Taking longer than hoped? Let us know and we will look into it for you.
Do you also deliver to Belgium and Germany?
Yes. We deliver free of charge to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. For the Netherlands and Belgium: order before 10 PM and it ships the same day, usually arriving the next day. For Germany, a delivery time of 2 to 3 days is standard.
What payment methods do you offer?
You can pay us immediately, pay afterwards within 30 days, or spread the amount over 3 instalments. This way you can try the wagon at home at your leisure before you pay.
When will a sold-out colour be back in stock?
If your favourite colour is temporarily out of stock, you can usually simply pre-order it — you will then see at checkout when we will deliver. If that option is not available, send us a quick email; we will let you know as soon as it is back. The P-Series Luxe is available as standard in black, blue, green, beige and grey.
How do I register a return?
You have 30 days to change your mind, so you can try the wagon at home at your leisure. Register a return via mr-fold.com/en/pages/retur-och-garanti. The return cost is €4.95; the remaining amount will be refunded once we have received the wagon.
Warranty & service
What warranty comes with a Mr Fold stroller wagon?
Your Mr Fold stroller wagon comes with a 2-year warranty, counted from the purchase date on your proof of purchase.
Does the warranty also apply to accessories?
Yes, accessories — such as the cradle, baby seat, benches and covers — carry the same 2-year warranty.
What is a return deal?
A return deal is a previously returned wagon that we have checked and is in good condition, which you buy at a discount — with the same warranty as a new wagon. This way you get a complete Mr Fold at a sharper price, without compromising on certainty.
Do I get a warranty on a second-hand wagon?
No. The warranty is personal and applies to the first buyer, upon presentation of proof of purchase; when resold between private individuals the warranty does not transfer. If you buy a return deal directly from us, you do receive the same warranty as on a new wagon.
Childcare & professional use
Is the 6-seater with 6 children easy to push without electric assistance?
On flat ground — pavement, cycle path, school yard — the fully loaded 6-seater pushes fine without electric assistance. On loose sand or a steep slope it gets noticeably heavier; bear this in mind if you go through dunes or over hills daily. The maximum weight is 170 kg in total.
Are the wagons suitable for a daycare centre or childminder?
Yes, many childminders and daycare centres work with the 4-seater or 6-seater: every child has their own spot with 5-point harness, there is a parking brake and the wagon stands stable when getting in and out. Do you work in childcare and are unsure about the size? Let us know and we will have a look with you.
Can I see the stroller wagon in person somewhere?
Yes. We have 200 ambassadors across the Netherlands and Belgium where you can view the wagon without obligation, unfold it and try it in your boot. At mr-fold.com/en/pages/ambassadeurs you can find the ambassador near you.
